Your journey as an orthodontic patient is tailored specifically to your needs.  Each patient is different and their smile goals are unique.

Your in-house journey starts with a tour of the office alongside your patient care coordinator. Feel free to enjoy the snacks, coffee, and water provided for you at each visit.  Next digital imaging will be taken of your teeth. We appreciate your time and have an in-house orthodontic lab for your convenience.  Dr. Seuss will conduct a comprehensive examination to determine:
     •  Is Orthodontic treatment indicated?
     •  When is the correct time to begin treatment?
     •  What treatment options are available?
     •  How long will the treatment be?
     •  How much will treatment cost?

You will be presented with a verbal and written explanation of Dr. Seuss' recommendations.
Our Patient Coordinators will discuss your insurance benefits, as well as establish an individualized payment plan.  Your next appointment will be scheduled.

You may also start with a virtual exam.  Here you will have the opportunity to send images of your smile and to ask questions related to your smile and outcome goals.  You may then be asked to come in for an in-patient scan of your teeth.  Depending on your needs, the number of in-house appointments will be determined so you know every step of your journey.

Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Seuss and the team at Seuss Pediatric Dentistry, as well as The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a "Dental Home" for your child by one year of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.

The Dental Home is intended to provide a place other than the Emergency Room for parents.

You can make the first visit to the dentist enjoyable and positive. If old enough, your child should be informed of the visit and told that the dentist and their team will explain all procedures and answer any questions. The less to-do concerning the visit, the better.

It is best if you refrain from using words around your child that might cause unnecessary fear, such as needle, shot, pull, drill, or hurt. The office makes a practice of using words that convey the same message but are pleasant and non-frightening to the child.

We invite you to stay with your child during the initial examination. During future appointments, we suggest you allow your child to accompany our staff through the dental experience. We can usually establish a closer rapport with your child when you are not present. Our purpose is to gain your child's confidence and overcome apprehension.  We strive to make every visit to our office a fun one!
