Growth and Guidance
A SpecialProgram for Young Orthodontic Patients
At Seuss Orthodontics, we believe that a healthy, beautiful smile starts early! That’s why we’re proud to offer our Growth and Guidance Program, designed specifically for children in their early stages of dental and facial development. This proactive approach helps ensure that your child’s teeth, jaws, and overall oral health develop in the best way possible.
What is the Growth and Guidance Program?
The Growth and Guidance Program is a comprehensive orthodontic monitoring system for children between the ages of 6 and 10. During these formative years, a child’s jaws and teeth are still growing and changing. This program helps us track that growth and address any potential orthodontic concerns before they become bigger challenges.
By catching problems early, we can guide the development of your child’s bite and smile, often minimizing the need for more extensive treatment later on.
How Does the Program Work?
-
Initial Consultation
Your child’s journey begins with a friendly, low-pressure initial visit. We’ll examine their teeth, jaw alignment, and facial structure to determine if early orthodontic intervention is necessary. -
Regular Monitoring
If your child doesn’t need immediate treatment, we’ll invite them to return for periodic check-ins. These visits allow us to monitor their growth and catch any changes or issues early. -
Customized Treatment Plans
Should any orthodontic concerns arise, we’ll work with you to create a tailored treatment plan. This may involve early orthodontic appliances, guidance for permanent teeth eruption, or other minimally invasive options.
Why Start Early?
-
Catch Problems Early: Address issues like overcrowding, crossbites, or jaw misalignment before they worsen.
-
Guide Jaw Growth: Help the upper and lower jaws develop harmoniously, reducing the need for surgery or extractions later.
-
Protect Teeth: Prevent habits like thumb-sucking from causing long-term damage.
-
Boost Confidence: Early intervention can improve your child’s smile, enhancing their self-esteem.
